Assays is a true auteur, but he hasn't let that trap him into a single style or tone. If the film isn't quite a masterpiece it is touching, funny and worthwhile work from one of the most interesting voices making films right now, one who can go from the near operatic "Carlos" to the quiet and intimate "Summer Hours", bringing each their own unique style. Thomas is at the quayside and is about to take vans full of fish to Brendam Docks for Henrys train, The Flying Kipper. It was uploaded to YouTube on January 18, 2013. Alec Baldwins narration was used for the remake. It was later remade by Thomas1Edward2Henr圓. Throughout, Assayas uses perfect music from the period, without using the same 6 songs every film about the late 60s/early 70s seem to fall back on. Something in the Air is a season five episode of Thomas and Friends. And there's a sequence at a party that's pretty breathtaking. An early scene of the kids battling the cops is exciting, raw and immersive. "Something in the Air" focuses on politics, art and sex, taking place 3 years after the May 1968 riots, as the high school kids of that moment try to live in the spirit of revolution that was already starting to fade into factionalism (some of the film's best humor documents the absurdly intense rivalries between groups who mostly share common goals, and the insane parsing of every word and idea to examine if it was the 'right' thing to foment revolution). I found the film much funnier the second time, catching Assayas' gentle mocking of the over seriousness of these petite-bourgeois youth, at the same time that he captures the sad beauty in adolescence's naiveté and out sized passions. Because I knew not to expect a straight- forward plot, but something much more episodic and tonal, I stopped focusing on the story, and took in all the details, and the mood. This grew on me considerably on 2nd viewing. As if to make it clear that he is coming full circle the main character (clearly based on Assayas himself), and one of the key supporting characters bear the same screen names as their counterparts in "Cold Water". Almost 20 years later, Assays returns to his own adolescence, which he examined expertly in 1994's "Cold Water". The wall of sound generated from Rob Marshall’s wailing guitar goes hand in hand with the fluid rhythm section of Simon Lindley’s heavy bass lines and Scott Pemberton’s precision drumming. Walking out to Talk Talk’s “Life’s What You Make It” there’s an air of anticipation, as there always is, when these four forward thinking lads take to the stage. Tonight they’re back in Manchester on a string of UK dates playing old and, rather more excitingly, new songs and they don’t disappoint with a performance of energy, enthusiasm and raw emotion. They know it and we, the loyal fans, know it too. They ARE relevant and they could easily be the best live band in the world, if they aren’t already. A musical apocalypse with the potential to be HUGE. Now imagine if Exit Calm could just flick a switch and introduce themselves to a new audience too? People opening their eyes and ears to an ethereal sound of epic, soaring landscapes. It can be frustrating at times championing a band who many have still never heard of. Not a band that like to promote themselves extensively which is a shame really as they should be up in the higher echelons of greatness. The future eh? The future, most definitely, isn’t what it used to be. Even the biggest still need to feel relevant and wanted in this cut throat business. Imagine once being the self-proclaimed “biggest and best live band in the world” and then, as your career comes to an end, you feel the need to strike up a deal with the giant that is Apple and force feed your music on 500 million people simply by flicking a switch? The last act of a desperate man. Shortly after, the converters for the remaining Lightsmiths darkened as well until finally the universe died in an explosion of color, leaving only Relic to survive and 'warn' the next universe of its impending doom.Exit Calm are a band with a sound as big as their ambitions, but does that translate in to a live environment? Louder Than War’s Jason Wynne certainly thinks so. In an event that the Lightsmiths referred to as the Dimming, Axylund, the home planet of the blue Lightsmiths, faced the crisis of an obsolete light converter, cutting off azure energy to the Lightsmiths. But unlike the corps of today, the Lightsmiths decided to work together to construct civilizations built solely out of light constructs. Using enormous converters, they absorbed the energy of the Emotional Spectrum and transformed it into power, later channeling that power into staffs in the same way today's corps use rings.Īccording to accounts by Relic, it was undecided which group actually harnessed the power of the emotional spectrum first. The Lightsmiths are a group of aliens who lived in the universe before ours that wielded the red light of fury, the orange light of gluttony, the yellow light of terror, the green light of resolve, the blue light of faith, the indigo light of empathy, and the violet light of passion. Shamans use these sacred mushrooms to see beyond man’s limits and have been used throughout history. They did not see with their eyes but with there mind. Scientists have found ancient birds with extremely small eye cavities but instead a large cavity where the pineal gland is. This was also tried with the sacred mushroom Amanita Muscaria and psilocybin mushrooms known as entheogens throughout history the power to see beyond. Having this wisdom was believed to give powers of higher consciousness to be God like. Somewhat like a muscle, the pineal gland can be developed. Doing this, they built a perfect machine possibly used to lower the earth’s frequency down to a deep meditation state of higher consciousness using earth’s pyramid vibration power and to induce a cosmic white light of higher frequency inside the body and mind which opens up the pineal gland and expands it to have clairvoyance. If the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids they would have to have had the knowledge of the most high, passed down by someone with understanding of how the universe works mathematically and geometrically because what they built is a replica of the earth, moon, and sun geometry, all in one structure. From the Great Pyramid center, you can use a compass on a map and notice that all the major cities in the world fall in line with certain math and geometry. The Great Pyramid is at the center of all the landmass on earth (at the cross) and is the marker set by the ancients as the divider of all the people on earth. The Giza Pyramids are in the centre of the Earth’s land masses The wording means two things: that eFootball will lose the rights to use the Piedmont club's official crest, kits and stadium (though they normally keep the players 3D-scanning) in the new season, and also that the Juve deal will go on beyond the last FIFA, entering the EA Sports FC new era for the franchise.īesides, Claudio Marchisio becomes a FUT Hero on FIFA 23, while young Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović will act as an ambassador for the game.īeing a free-to-play, ongoing football platform, and not a yearly release anymore, it is unclear when the Juve drop will happen on eFootball 2022 as Konami claimed that "the representation of the club will not be affected in 2022", but the company will most likely update and rename the service to 2023 for the new season. Read our first FIFA 23 hands-on impressions.Īs per today's announcement, EA Sports and Juventus Football Club have announced an "exclusive, multi-year partnership" for La Juve to return to the franchise with a "complete integration starting exclusively on FIFA 23".But now, with FIFA 23, the Piedmont reference is no more, as Juventus FC is back, as Gamereactor learned at EA Vancouver and the studio has made official today. Same as Pro Evo in the past, FIFA had to use fake club names and jerseys to somehow include the squad in the game, and in the case of the Turin-based team they used "Piemonte Calcio", which gave for a good bunch of memes. One of the most talked about was when Konami grabbed the exclusive rights to Juventus, which would be the main premium partner club for a few years alongside the likes of Barça, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United. And while traditionally FIFA has gathered most of the major teams and competitions in exclusive capacity, every now and then PES and eFootball enjoyed their bombshell announcements. For many years now, the summer transfer market in football video games, where EA and Konami keep their particular rivalry fighting for the best league and club deals, is almost as interesting as following the player signings in real life, where clubs hire and release athletes to better their season prospects.
